Flip flops

We all have multiple pairs of them laying around, and we all love the fun colours and prints they come in, and above all, the comfort they offer. Slippers come in all shapes and styles, but they all have one thing in common: they are the most convenient footwear on your shoe rack. They are ideal for loafing around the house, but you can also wear them on the seafront, on the beach, on the city streets or around the swimming pool — they're a true all-rounder. And if you want to kick them off for a while so you can continue barefoot, they're extremely easy to stick into your backpack or handbag. You'll never flip upside down with flip flops!

FAQ – Frequently asked questions about slippers

One thing a lot of us are unaware of is that there is a sharp rise in foot problems in the summer months, compared to the winter months. The main culprit are slippers that are too flat. You can avoid these foot problems by going for flip flops with a good footbed that offer plenty of cushioning. The footbed should provide just the right support to help you maintain a better posture, to ensure your feet get tired less quickly, and eventually, to ensure you stay free of pain in your feet, knees and back.

Whether you're a size 36 or 42: slippers that are too small will never be comfortable. Your foot should sit perfectly within the sole of the slippers. In other words, your heel or toes should never protrude across the edge. For that reason, it might be a good idea to try a pair half a size bigger than your usual shoe size.

Generally speaking, sandals have an extra strap around your heel. That extra strap makes sure sandals stay in place a little better, preventing you from slipping off the footbed on uneven surfaces. Pretty handy, right? Flip flops, on the other hand, are extremely easy to slip on and off. That's pretty handy too!

Our range offers the following types, among others:

  • Toe slippers (also known as flip flops): slippers with a strap in between your toes, made of a wide variety of materials (from rubber to cork and reed).
  • Pool slippers: slippers with a wide strap across the top of your foot. Originally confined to swimming pools only, but now omnipresent as streetwear too.
  • Double-strap slippers: these slippers are the strongest type of all. They have a thick double strap across the top of your foot and often come with a thicker sole, meaning you can even wear them for longer outings if you prefer!
