When camping, during a power outage, when working on your house, in the car… Wherever you are, a torch is your best friend if you want to see the light. You can find all our torches, from compact units to luminous beams, on this page.
If you want to buy a torch, be sure to check out these features and see what you think is important.
The lumen is the unit in which luminous flux is expressed. It measures the total amount of visible light that a light source emits in all directions.
If you are going to use your torch mainly for working at close quarters, then a lower brightness of up to 100 lumens is sufficient. If you need the beam to shine out far into the distance, choose a higher lumen output. How much light the torch gives off also depends on the size of the reflector. For example, a torch with fewer lumens but a larger beam may shine further than one with more lumens.
