A good sports bra is a sports bra that fits! Many women feel like their breasts are being squished together when they first wear a sports bra. That’s normal. A sports bra can only provide the right support if it is comfortably tight. In any case, your new sports bra should not shift while exercising or playing a sport.
The size of your sports bra is the most important thing. If it is too large, the bra will not be able to cushion the movement of your breasts sufficiently. It will shift and therefore chafe. A sports bra that is too small will pinch your breasts, which causes irritation. The following tips will help you choose the right bra size:
Running and horseback riding are high-impact sports. So you need a sports bra that supports your breasts extra well. Choose a bra with extreme or high support.
When trying it on, raise your arms above your head to check whether your sports bra stays in place. If it slides upwards, then you need a smaller size. If you see in the mirror that your breasts spill out of the cup, then you need a larger cup size. It may feel crazy, but jump or run (in place) while trying it on. Only then can you really feel if your breasts are sufficiently supported.
It’s better to do it too often than not enough! Although it is believed that frequent washing of your clothing is detrimental to the lifespan, it is a good idea to wash your sports bra a little more often.
It will last longer because you can maintain its elasticity better that way. Since you sweat a lot during sports, you should definitely wash your sports bra after two sports sessions.
