O’Neill, for example, is a member of amfori BSCI, a code of conduct that puts people and the planet at the centre of international trade. 

Jack O’Neill opened his first shop in San Francisco in 1952 and is still a local hero. He is said to have invented the first neoprene wetsuit, but this is still up for debate. What is certain is that O’Neill looks like a real sea dog: with a gnarly beard and eye patch. He lost his eye due to… a surf rope that snapped. True story! Fortunately, it didn’t stop him from building a great brand.
