Kikkerland makes essentials that you didn’t know you needed. A toilet bag printed with the world map, a child-sized penknife, a DIY ukelele. Or how about a torch that can do Morse Code, or a spa kit for your dog? Add a set of colourful glass straws and ice cubes shaped as golf balls and the party will be a hit.
At Kikkerland they also look far beyond their own front door. In addition to a 15-strong design team, they also work with independent young designers from all over the world. They believe it’s important to give something back to this world, for example, by focusing on nature conservation, or by organising inspiring programmes for underprivileged youths. Anything, as long as it stimulates creativity!
Each Kikkerland collection tells a story. For example, the one about children who spend (too) much time indoors. In the United Kingdom even more that the average prisoner, in fact! With its fishing kits, magnifying glasses, playing cards and other fun tools in the Huckleberry collection, Kikkerland aims to get children playing outside again. After all, playing is learning and therefore essential, even for grown-ups!
