Looking for ECCO shoes that will take you straight from the hiking trail to the outdoor café? Then opt for a casual A-layer model. Could you use some more support on more adventurous terrain? Then go for an A-mid model. Do you prefer feeling the breeze on your toes? Then try a hiking sandal: equally comfortable but wonderfully airy. This way, you’ve got your feet firmly in nature.
ECCO wants to protect that nature too. The company developed a unique process, ECCO DriTan™, to tan leather. This allows them to save water and drastically reduce the amount of chemicals needed. There’s also a lot less wastewater at the end of the process. The goal? Net zero water discharge by 2030!
To add to their environmentally conscious efforts, ECCO worked with Danish students to design a shoe made from seaweed and leather scraps. That shoe is unfortunately not in production (yet), but in the meantime, you have a wide choice of shoes from leather, nubuck, or synthetic materials. And remember, “The shoe must follow the foot!”
