People who go hiking or cycling regularly often forget to stay hydrated, since they’re distracted by all the natural beauty around them. But it’s important to stay well hydrated while exercising. With their (blue) water bag with the long tube running over your shoulder, CamelBak ensures that you don’t have to stop to take out your bottle every time; you can just drink sip by sip.
Do you like to limit the weight in your backpack and prefer to take a drinking bottle with you, which you can easily refill in streams (using a water filter!) or at water stations? Well, there are plenty of drinking bottles to choose from.
The idea for CamelBak came about during the Hotter’N Hell 100 cycling race in the scorching heat of Texas. Michael Edison was a technician in the emergency room and decided to fill an IV bag with water and put it in a white sports sock. He tucked the whole thing into the back of his cycling shirt, with a hose over his shoulder. And thus, hands-free drinking was born!
